Kelly Belly-39 weeks and O.M.G......

The O.M.G. part of this post is at the end so scroll down if that is what you are interested in :)  I wrote most of this before my appointment......

How Far Along39 weeks!

Weight Gain:  +4 pounds

Sleep: yeah....that is just not happening.  I know that I will not be sleeping for a while, like 18 years, so I might as well get used to it!

Best Moment of the Week: yesterday was my last day of work!  I am taking 12 weeks of maternity leave.  This makes me very happy!

Stretch Marks: yes...

Movement yes...I love it so  much.  I am going to miss feeling her in there but I am so ready to snuggle with her.  I have heard from a lot of friends that after you have the baby you will feel like you felt the baby move in there and it kinda freaks you out.

Symptomspretty much the same.  My back started hurting after I have been up for a while.  Reflux is better this week.  I am not sure I've mentioned this in my updates but I LOVE ICE WATER!  I feel so thirsty all day long.  I am drinking enough of it but I am still thirsty constantly.  Especially at night, which really helps the getting up every hour to pee.

This is probably too much info but I want to be able to remember.  I have been having some major bathroom issues the past two days, especially today.  Not constipated and not diarrhea just seriously painful to go.  I don't know if it is because she is so low or what?  I will just leave it at that....

What I Miss:  I really can't believe I am about to be not pregnant.  I just miss being able to get comfortable but it is all worth it as long as she is comfortable.

Gender:  our little princess Blakely Ann

What I'm Looking Forward tomeeting Blakely!  I think I am most looking forward to seeing my husband hold her for the first time.  I am literally crying as I type that....

Weekly Wisdom: rest up and enjoy these last few days of pregnancy.

Milestones:  39 weeks!  only one more week left!  Holy Smokes!!!

And here is the belly pic for this week....

Doctor Appointment: Well I just got home from my appointment and this is what went down.  I peed like usual and then she weighed me.  I gained 4 pounds which I wasn't very surprised by because I just feel bigger and much more swollen the past couple of days.  Then she took my blood pressure.  It has been perfect (low actually) the entire pregnancy.  Well after she pumped it up she gave me a weird look and pumped it up again.  Uh-oh.... 148/102...not good.  So she deflated it a minute and I took a few deep breaths.  She tried again and it was the same.  At this point I am started to sort of freak out.  Am I just nervous?  Am I starting to have a panic attack?  Oh shit...I think I might be panicking!  Breathe Kelly!  She had another nurse com in and check it again and it was the same....another cuff?  Still the same.  She checked Blakely's heartbeat which was in the 150's as usual and then told me to get undressed and he would be right in.

As I am sitting there on the verge of a major panic attack I try to calm myself down.  This actually works pretty well.  By the time Dr. C gets in there I am feeling calm, cool, and collected.  I just know that it has gone down and that I was just amped up or something before.  He says he is going to check my cervix first because a lot of the time the anxiety of that will cause you BP to go up.  I am a centimeter "and half" dilated, very soft, and almost fully effaced.  All good news to me.  Then he checks my blood pressure himself.  Yeah still the same.  WTF?????  I feel calm...or I did until he said it was the same!  Then he tells me that I am going to have a baby tomorrow.  UMMMM huh? Pretty much everything from here on out is a blur.  Which is why I am writing it all down now.  He says that they are going to do a non stress test and if that looks good then I will come in at 530 in the morning to start my induction.  If the NST doesn't look good then we will start tonight.  The NST was fine...they said great actually.  So I was told to be at the hospital at 530 and they would get everything started and then I would see him around 630 and they would probably break my water.  That is all that I heard.  After he left the room and the nurse was unhooking me from the machine I think all I kept saying was holy shit, holy shit, holy shit.  I was just totally shocked.

So there you have it....I go in the morning to have my baby girl.  I seriously can't believe it.  I feel so weird right now.  Like I am floating or something.  It almost doesn't feel real.  I mean I was hoping that I would go in today and have some major progress.  But I didn't really expect an induction due to my BP.  This is all just so crazy.  I am going to meet my child tomorrow.....seriously?  How am I ever going to sleep tonight?  Wish me luck...I'm getting a little nervous....

Nursery!!!!

I have finally taken pictures of the nursery!  I know y'all were waiting on pins and needles ;)  So here we go!

This is when you first walk into the room.  I couldn't ever get a picture that showed the true wall color.  It is an apple green...not lime green just like granny smith apple green.

I have a valence that should be in this week.  It is the same as the crib skirt.  The striped fabric with the green swirl trim.

I love the crib!  I'm not sure if I posted about our crib issues but I will give you a quick summary.  We were going to get a crib from my sister-in-law that she had been saving for us.  It was six years old.  I'm sure she didn't think she would have to store it for so long but, ya know, it took us almost 3 years to get pregnant!  Anyway, when I was about 20 weeks or so I found out that it was a drop side crib and that just wasn't going to fly.  SOOOOO I had to tell her that after all that time we weren't going to use it.  I felt bad but I just couldn't justify using it. Anyway....I love the one we got!

Her sweet name over the crib.  I didn't paint them.  I was going to paint the letters myself but in order to get the letters in the font that I wanted it was going to cost almost as much as having them painted so I decided to have someone else do it.

I love her bedding.  I ordered it from modpeapod.com.  They do custom bedding and she has a ton of different fabric to choose from.  If you are looking for bedding or anything like that you should check it out!  It all came out exactly how I wanted it.  I don't know if y'all remember my fabric fiasco but I am so glad all of that happened!  I ended up with exactly what I wanted :)  Oh and Blakely has already started collecting pink giraffes!

This is Blakely's soft bear.  I posted about that here.  I so need to get mine out and take a picture of them side by side!

These are the two closet doors.  The things on the chest are going to be hung up...just haven't done that yet.

Inside of the closets.  You can't see it but in between the doors are a ton of shelves.  I have all of her blankets and things in bins on those shelves.

This is the giraffe that my Grand painted for Blakely.  It is going to be hung over the chest.  Isn't it perfect?!?!?

This is a poem called The Sugar Plum Tree.  My great grandmother calligraphied a copy of this poem and it was in my room when I was little.  I would make my mom read it to me ALL THE TIME.  If she messed up just a little bit I would make her start over.  So, my mom copied it down and had it framed in this pink frame.  I can't wait to read it to Blakely every night.

I put together and painted these nightstands!  That book on the bottom is her baby book.

This is the queen bed that is in her room.  We decided to put it in there for a couple of reasons.    We had a room that had two queen beds in it.  That room became my husbands office/library.  I left one bed in there.  So we had this extra queen bed.  We really like having a lot of beds in our house for when  Lonnie's family comes to stay (his mother, brother, sister-in-law, and 6 year old twins).  So it was either get rid of the queen bed or put it in B's room.  Also, her room is really big!  Without the bed it was kind of empty.  I also thought it was a great opportunity to decorate!  So I ordered some extra fabric that I used for her bedding and had pillows made.  I LOVE THEM....I think they just make the room complete.  Well she will make the room complete but you know what I mean :)

Up close of the pillows....

I am going to have a collage of her newborn pics over the bed in dark cherry frames.  I think maybe a large one with a few smaller ones surrounding...all different frames.  Maybe a large maternity one with smaller newborn pics.

A pink giraffe on the shelves.   The little piggy bank if from Syble, my niece.  She has one just like it :)  The pink flower is the sash that I wore in my maternity pictures which you can see here.  My Grand painted the B.  I should have taken a closer pic of this...

And one more pic of the bedding without all the stuffed animals.

So, as you can see, all we need is my little princess!  I can't wait for her arrival!  People keep asking me when she is going to arrive....what is my gut telling me?  Well I'm not sure!  Am I supposed to have a feeling?  I just want her here and healthy.  Oh and maybe wait until this weekend is over since daddy is on call :/

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!  Oh and Go HOGS!!!

Happy anniversary!

Today I have been married for 4 years.  Our wedding was the best day of my life.  I am such a lucky girl to have such a great husband!  Here are a few pictures of that wonderful day.  I have posted about our wedding in this post and our reception in this post.  But here are a few pics anyway :)

These were on our honeymoon....we went to St. John and it was perfect!!!

On our first anniversary we went to New York City.  It was the first time either of us had been and we had such a great time.

On our second anniversary we went to Washington DC.  I had never been but Lonnie had been a few times.  He had to live there for a couple of months during his residency as well.  I love planning trips and I like to think that I am pretty good at it!  This trip was one of the funnest to plan.  There was just so much I wanted to see and I wanted to get it all in!

 Supreme Court
 Arlington National Cemetery
In front of the White House after our tour...

Last year on our third anniversary we didn't go anywhere.  I had just gotten off of bed rest from IVF #2.  Here I am right before our retrieval...  I have some videos that he took of me after the retrieval...which by the way is totally unfair.  I don't remember a thing and they are hilarious!  At one point I asked Lonnie if Tom Brady was taking me home...LOL!  I heart Tom Brady...that.boy.is.fine.

And here I am just after the transfer.

I had so much hope for our anniversary last year.  I remember thinking that I was "pregnant" on our special day.  Ha!  Not so much....  But that is what brought us to our sweet Blakely and I can't imagine it any other way.

This year we didn't do anything super special.  I made chicken salad sandwiches and we went down on our dock and watched the sunset.  It was very nice and relaxing.  Much better than being at some crowded restaurant :)

Yes. I look tired.  That is because I am...very, very tired....

I love you honey (I know you will read this!).  I can't believe we are about to become parents.  I would not want to share this responsibility with anyone else.  I know you are going to be the best daddy to our little princess.  She is so lucky to have you and so am I.  I look forward to what the next four years hold for us :)

Kelly Belly-38 weeks

How Far Along: 38 weeks!

Weight Gain:  somehow I lost 2 pounds this week!  so +28 total gained.  I feel like this entitles me to some rocky road tonight...y'all agree?!?

Doctor Appointment: everything was good.  No change from last week.  Her head is still VERY VERY VERY low...I am not kidding.

Sleep: not great.  I start sleeping well at about 530 in the morning.  I have been having major reflux the past few days so that hasn't helped the sleeping either.

Best Moment of the Week:  I got the pillows for the queen bed that is in her room this week.  So her room is pretty much finished besides hanging two things on the wall.  Look for a post later this week of her nursery :)

Stretch Marks: yes...see this post if you dare ;)

Movement yes she moves a lot.  I feel like she is stretching her legs out all the time.  It is really cute and I can't wait to see her do that in person!

Symptoms: lots and lots of reflux this week.  Not fun...

I am also peeing all the time.  I don't know if this was in my update last week and I am too lazy to look but I get up about every 45 minutes to an hour just to pee.  Then I start to pee and it is just a dribble.  I have to either lean to the left or lean forward to be able to empty my bladder.  Sometimes it won't empty no matter what I do.  This is a very strange and sometimes painful situation.  I honestly wish I could pee standing up...because it never fails when I stand up after I am "finished" peeing I have a huge urge to pee!  I really might try it...

I also have lots of pressure.  I feel like she is going to fall out every time I stand up....

What I Miss:  I love being pregnant even with all the difficult things...i.e. my peeing situation.  But I would be lying if I said that I didn't miss some things or rather look forward to some things when I'm not pregnant anymore.  I miss just being able to jump up and do things.  Oh you forgot to turn the oven off and now you are all settled in on the couch with your 15 pillows propping you up....HA HA!!!  You want your lip balm that is on your nightstand but you are all snuggled in again with 15 pillows facing the opposite way....HA HA!!!  Good luck reaching that!  Every movement that I make takes a while...so there is no "hopping up" to do anything.

Gender:  our little princess Blakely Ann

What I'm Looking Forward to: just meeting her.  I will meet my daughter sometime within the next 14 days....UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Weekly Wisdom: don't get disappointed if you don't have any progress at the doctor.  I said I would never be like that but I can't lie...I was a little disappointed today when there was no change.  I should have no expectations since I have no control over this!!

Milestones:  38 weeks!  I can't believe it.....I am so ready to hold my sweet girl....

And here are some belly pics from this week!
Does it look like she is falling out?  Because that is what it feels like....
