WOW!

After waiting forever I finally got the call I have wanted for.

I AM PREGNANT!

What a day it has been...

I got up way early to head to Little Ro.ck (hour drive).  As I was walking out the door Sarah texted me just to say she loved me.  I told her I was about to leave.  She asked if Lonnie was coming and I said no.  She said come get me and I'll ride with you.  I'll be ready in five!  I was like yes!  I am so thankful for a friend like that because it helped me so much.  I was totally distracted from obsessing about the results and it was wonderful.

When I got home Lonnie and I sat outside because the weather is so nice.  Blakely spent the night at my mom's house so it was just the 2 of us.  This is where things get a little crazy.   At some point Lonnie's phone rings and it is Dr. B from our Little Ro.ck clinic.  I was like holy shit.  He answered and I just put my head in my hands.  They talked for a few minutes and I couldn't understand what they were talking about.  Something about the labs and yes they want the results today or something.  Lonnie was giving nothing away and he looked very concerned.

When he got off the phone I said OMG JUST TELL ME!  He said it is positive.  I was like WHAT???   He said yes, the beta was positive.  He wasn't sounding all that excited but he is not one to show much emotion so I was just confused.  I said did he tell you a number?  He said yes...it was over 400.  This is where I started bawling.  I couldn't believe it.  I was worried in that moment that maybe my beta was really low and that is why Lonnie was being so very calm.  But 400 is HIGH.

The reason Dr. B called is that the result was high so they needed to dilute it to get a more accurate result which was going to take a while.  He also wanted to know if they wanted an estrogen and progesterone level.

At this point I was excited but nervous.  We weren't sure if we needed to be worried since the result was high.  Both of our medical minds were racing.  After a while Dr. B called back and said my beta was 476 and the estrogen and progesterone levels were fine.  He was faxing the results to Den.ver and we should hear from them soon.  I asked him my questions and he said not to be worried.

Then I waited FOREVER to hear from my clinic.  ALL DAY.  I mean I've been excited but for some reason I just wanted confirmation from them.  It didn't feel real until then.  Just talked to them and everything is fine.  I asked about being worried about a high beta (mainly a molar pregnancy...don't goo.gle it)...she said no. It could mean twins but there is no way to know until ultrasound.  They do see betas over 400 with singleton pregnancies.

So there it is!  I hope this all makes sense because Blakely is waking from her nap and I gotta go so I can't re-read.

The point is...I AM TOTALLY PREGNANT!

Side note... My beta with Blakely on this exact day (14 days after conception) was 92.  Today it is 476.  #holy

One more thing.  I changed my instag.ram to private.  Mainly because some random friends on FB had found it.  I have a few requests pending and if they are my blog friends I want to accept!  Please leave your username in the comments or email it to me!  southernprincesskelly {at} gmail {dot} com

11dp3dt and GREAT NEWS!!!!

I can't even believe I am writing this post.

I am pregnant!

Really....I am pregnant.....

I am pretty shocked....

My husband is SUPER shocked!

My heart races every time I say or think "I'm pregnant".

So here is the story if you want to read it.  If you don't I totally understand.  I have been there and I know that this can be very hard to read.  I still can't believe this is happening...

I had my lab drawn this morning at 8:00.  Hubs and I decided that I would tell them to leave a message on my cell phone and we would listen to the message together when he got home from work.  This is what we did last time as well.  Except, last time I was totally preoccupied the entire day and didn't even have my phone with me, so I wasn't tempted to answer or listen to the message early.

Well today I had nothing to do.  I didn't sleep well at all last night so when I got home from the doctor at about 10:00 I decided this girl needed a nap.  I just wanted to sleep until he got home.

So I slept for a couple of hours and then woke up and was playing Words with Friends (yes I am still addicted to this game) when DUN DUN DUN.....the phone starts ringing and it is my doctor's office.

I immediately throw the phone across the room.

I proceed to stare at it until it stops ringing.

I wait for the voicemail tone but it never comes....WTH??

Then....it starts ringing again!!!  HOLY SMOKES!!!

Why are they calling back?  They never do that.  What if something is wrong?  What if they dropped my blood or something totally ridiculous and need me to come back??

I better answer it then...right???

Me: Hello?

Nurse: Oh I am so glad that you answered!  I really hate leaving messages.

Me: I can't believe I did...I'm not supposed to....

Nurse: Huh?

Me: My husband and I were supposed to listen to the message together when he got home from work.

Nurse: Oh...WEEEEEEELLLLLLLL.....YOU ARE PREGNANT!!!!!  Now you can surprise him when he comes home!!!!!  (I'm not kidding....she said it with that much excitement)

Me: WHAT????  Are you serious?  Are you sure? (I have no idea why I asked these dumb questions....did I think she was calling to play a trick on me or something?)

Nurse: Yes.  You definitely are pregnant.  You have a great level...it is 91.2 and we just want it to be over 50

At this point I was shaking uncontrollably and crying so I don't remember the rest of the conversation.  I think she told me to come back on Thursday but the weather is supposed to be really bad (it is an hour away) so I am going on Friday...no clue what time.....

We got off the phone and I didn't know what to do?  I didn't want to call Lonnie at work because we had talked about how he didn't want to know either way while he was a work.

HMMMMMM.....what to do???

Call my mother of course!!!!

So I called my mom and she was, as expected, so excited!  My mom, my aunt Jenni, and my mother in law are the only people who knew that we would get results today.

Then I just couldn't hold it in....I had to tell Lonnie.

Juanet, who cleans my house, was here so I couldn't get my HPT's out of the bathroom without her seeing.  So I decided that I would run to Walgreens, POAS in Walgreens, and then go to hubby's office and surprise him.  He was not going to be in his office until 1:30 so I thought I could make it.

When I was on my way he called me and said he had like 20  minutes before he had to go into the office and since I was in town why didn't I come by and we could listen to the message.  He was ready to know...I could tell.  So, I didn't have time to go to Walgreens.

He got in my car and looked really nervous.  I said let's hug for a minute and calm down before we listen.  While we were hugging and he said "you're going to be ok if it is negative, right?".  I whispered in his ear "I already talked to the nurse and we are pregnant"  He was totally, completely, and utterly shocked.  He reaction was wonderful and I will never forget it my entire life.  I was very happy to be able to surprise him!  I am so lucky to have him and our children are going to be so lucky to have him as their daddy.  I can't wait!

So there it is...

I finally got a BFP...

I refuse to stress about anything else......next beta, ultrasound, twins, ectopic, chemical pregnancy blah blah blah

I am just going to enjoy this moment with my husband.

Oh and here is a picture...because I did say that I would pee on anything that will tell me I'm pregnant!

Oh, and I swear there is another pink line there.  I took this one tonight after dinner and about 5 glasses of water.  That is definitely a symptom....thirsty ALL THE TIME!!!!  I love it....

Oh and by the way, if you know me in real life and have happened upon my blog I request that you keep this news to yourself for a while.  We do not plan on telling anyone about this until AT LEAST 12 weeks.  Thanks!!!!
