The O.M.G. part of this post is at the end so scroll down if that is what you are interested in :) I wrote most of this before my appointment......
How Far Along: 39 weeks!
How Far Along: 39 weeks!
Weight Gain: +4 pounds
Sleep: yeah....that is just not happening. I know that I will not be sleeping for a while, like 18 years, so I might as well get used to it!
Best Moment of the Week: yesterday was my last day of work! I am taking 12 weeks of maternity leave. This makes me very happy!
Stretch Marks: yes...
Movement: yes...I love it so much. I am going to miss feeling her in there but I am so ready to snuggle with her. I have heard from a lot of friends that after you have the baby you will feel like you felt the baby move in there and it kinda freaks you out.
Symptoms: pretty much the same. My back started hurting after I have been up for a while. Reflux is better this week. I am not sure I've mentioned this in my updates but I LOVE ICE WATER! I feel so thirsty all day long. I am drinking enough of it but I am still thirsty constantly. Especially at night, which really helps the getting up every hour to pee.
This is probably too much info but I want to be able to remember. I have been having some major bathroom issues the past two days, especially today. Not constipated and not diarrhea just seriously painful to go. I don't know if it is because she is so low or what? I will just leave it at that....

What I Miss: I really can't believe I am about to be not pregnant. I just miss being able to get comfortable but it is all worth it as long as she is comfortable.
Gender: our little princess Blakely Ann
What I'm Looking Forward to: meeting Blakely! I think I am most looking forward to seeing my husband hold her for the first time. I am literally crying as I type that....
Weekly Wisdom: rest up and enjoy these last few days of pregnancy.
Milestones: 39 weeks! only one more week left! Holy Smokes!!!
And here is the belly pic for this week....
Doctor Appointment: Well I just got home from my appointment and this is what went down. I peed like usual and then she weighed me. I gained 4 pounds which I wasn't very surprised by because I just feel bigger and much more swollen the past couple of days. Then she took my blood pressure. It has been perfect (low actually) the entire pregnancy. Well after she pumped it up she gave me a weird look and pumped it up again. Uh-oh.... 148/102...not good. So she deflated it a minute and I took a few deep breaths. She tried again and it was the same. At this point I am started to sort of freak out. Am I just nervous? Am I starting to have a panic attack? Oh shit...I think I might be panicking! Breathe Kelly! She had another nurse com in and check it again and it was the same....another cuff? Still the same. She checked Blakely's heartbeat which was in the 150's as usual and then told me to get undressed and he would be right in.
As I am sitting there on the verge of a major panic attack I try to calm myself down. This actually works pretty well. By the time Dr. C gets in there I am feeling calm, cool, and collected. I just know that it has gone down and that I was just amped up or something before. He says he is going to check my cervix first because a lot of the time the anxiety of that will cause you BP to go up. I am a centimeter "and half" dilated, very soft, and almost fully effaced. All good news to me. Then he checks my blood pressure himself. Yeah still the same. WTF????? I feel calm...or I did until he said it was the same! Then he tells me that I am going to have a baby tomorrow. UMMMM huh? Pretty much everything from here on out is a blur. Which is why I am writing it all down now. He says that they are going to do a non stress test and if that looks good then I will come in at 530 in the morning to start my induction. If the NST doesn't look good then we will start tonight. The NST was fine...they said great actually. So I was told to be at the hospital at 530 and they would get everything started and then I would see him around 630 and they would probably break my water. That is all that I heard. After he left the room and the nurse was unhooking me from the machine I think all I kept saying was holy shit, holy shit, holy shit. I was just totally shocked.
