Best friends, baby gifts, and emotions

Just a little warning, this is a totally random post!

I'm not sure if I have mentioned this but I have the bestest best friend EVER.  Her name is Sarah and we have been friends since 8th grade.  Since I have been totally nesting and wanting to clean out everything in my house, she volunteered to come over and help me!  There are many reasons I love her BUT one of the main ones is for her organizing skills and her craftiness.  So, she helped me clean out my craft closet today.  She pretty much did everything...I just told her what to do!  This is what the closet looked like before....

We took everything out of the closet and put it on the floor in the spare bedroom.  Then we organized everything into plastic tubs and put it all back.  Here is the after pic...

I had to force myself not to use my label maker and label all the tubs...since I can see what is in them!

If you are wondering what all the junk is here is a small list :)
-scrapbook paper
-scrapbook supplies
-markers
-crayons
-fall decorations
-spray paint
-regular paint
-paint brushes
-candles
-candle holders

You get the idea right???

Anyway, so happy to have this done and can't wait to move on to the next project!  I am in a holding pattern on baby girl's room until the shelves are installed so I am working on everything else I guess.

The baby gifts are starting to arrive.  Lonnie came home from work this week with this sweet little white blanket that a lady that works for him made our for our little princess.

Quick backstory.  There is a girl that I went to x-ray school with but lost touch with her after we graduated (2004).  Last year one of my husband's partners was telling me about a girl who was working at another hospital they cover who was having problems with infertility.  He asked me if it was ok to give her my email address so she could ask me questions since I was very knowledgable (unfortunately).  It turned out to be her.  So we have been talking and I told her everything I knew about everything....at that point we were on a break before starting IVF #3.  She has had 2 ectopic pregnancies so both tubes removed...only IVF for her. We will call her A here because I am not sure she would want all that announced to the world!

My husband came home from work yesterday with another gift and it was from her.  She made this blanket and this adorable sock monkey!

Let's all cross our fingers for her and send A some baby vibes.  She has been saving up for IVF for a while and they are about to get started.  She has been on Lupron and about to start stimming.  I really hope this works for her...she deserves it so much!

This brings me to my last topic.  I am an emotional crazy person.  I cried when I opened both of these gifts.  I cry when I see commercials on tv..especially the Pampers one.  I cried when I realized I could no longer see my vagina the other day...a happy cry, of course, but going to have to figure something out on that front.  I cried when my husband killed the wasps on our dock the other day...what if that was a mommy wasp????

I will leave you with this....

You know you are way too emotional when you cry every time you see roadkill...

again that could have been a momma possum???  TEAR.....

Kelly Belly-26 weeks

How Far Along:  26 weeks!  EEEK!!  I feel like the weeks are starting to go by faster and faster!  That makes me excited but also scares me a little bit.

Size of Baby:  she is the size of an eggplant...weighing in at about 2 pounds!  Grow sweet girl grow!  Here is a picture of her that we took almost two weeks ago and I forgot to post it....

Maternity Clothes of course :)

Weight Gain:  +15 total

Stretch Marks:  no new ones but I am using my lotion like crazy.  Very itchy belly and boobs!

Belly Button:  getting shallower and shallower.

Sleep:   decent...I guess.  I wake up a lot to pee but I am able to go back to sleep pretty good.  Rolling over takes a little bit longer than it used to...just aches to move once I have been in one position for a long time.

Best Moment of the Week:  researching stuff to register for.  I have been on Babies r Us website a lot!  Looking at and reading reviews for car seats, strollers, pack n plays, breast pumps, etc.  It is all so much fun!!!!

Starting to feel real pregnant.  I have started my walking back up and it kicks my booty!  I do less than a mile and it still kicks my booty.  I have also been stretching because I feel so tight and crampy all over.  My back aches and my feet hurt after working.  All signs that I am getting super pregnant!

Movement lots and lots of movement!

Symptoms:   still BH contractions....I'm starting to notice what makes me have them and what makes them go away.  That makes me feel better.

bigger boobies :)  I have gone up 2 cup sizes since getting pregnant....love this!

What I Miss: I miss it not being 104 outside....I mean really?  IT IS HOT!

Food Cravings/Aversions:    We went to the farmer's market this past weekend and I got a bunch of fresh fruit and veggies...YUM!  I also tried the mango pineapple smoothie from McD's....it is awesome!

Gender: a precious little princess

What I'm Looking Forward to actually registering this weekend.

I am also looking forward to getting all of my showers scheduled...I am going to be having three.  One of them is going to be all of my friends and their mothers (mostly people I went to high school with because we are all still very close).  The second one is being given by two of my mom's friends.  And the third one is my husband's partners wives (that is difficult to say!).  Basically the wives of all the men my husband works with.  There are about 10 -12 of them I think.  Anyway, I have one of them nailed down and the other two will have a date in the next few days!

Weekly Wisdom: enjoy every second because it is starting to go by really fast!

Milestones:  As of yesterday I was down to double digits...as in only 99 more days left!  Wow...I remember when I first got my BFP I thought this was a LONG way off and now here we are!  Every day she is inside my belly is a wonderful miracle :)

And a couple of pics of the 26 week belly...

House Work!

Ok so we have a ton to do to get our house ready for baby girl.

First a little explanation of my house.  You walk in to the top story of my house.  This is the main level that we live on (kitchen, living room, laundry room, etc).  Also, our master bedroom is upstairs.  Downstairs there are three other bedrooms.  One of them is another master suite which is the guest room right now...lake view, door opens onto deck, large closet, etc.  The other room also has lake views and is quite big....also has a door that opens to the deck.  This room is my husband's office right now.  More on that in a minute.  The third bedroom (which we call the red room) is on the other side (non lake side) of the house and is smaller with no windows.  We have two queen size beds in there right now so we can sleep a ton of people at my house.

Ok so baby girls room is going to be where my husband's office is right now...the second spacious bedroom downstairs.  We are moving his office to the little room with no windows.  His office right now is a complete mess.  I mean it was organized when we moved in almost five years ago but it has just gone downhill ever since.  The closets have bookcases that are full of books and now the books are piling up on the floor.  He used to work out of the office about two evenings a week but now he doesn't actually work in there as much.  I really want to create a place for him to go and unwind...chill out...relax.  We have decided that instead of having a couch in his office we would leave one of the queen size beds in there that way we can still sleep a lot of people (like when his family comes to stay).  Here are a few pics of his office now (baby girls future nursery)......It is almost embarrassing to show these...but I want to remember!
when you first walk in....

There are books stacked behind the couch as well...
There are shelves between these doors that are also full of books...I told y'all...he hoards books!

So, as you can see, lots of stuff to move out and get organized!  The only thing we have done in this room so far is organize all the stuff on the floor.  Everything is ready to be moved into his new office once that room is ready....

Now on to the red room (his future office).  This room is WAY more organized than the other one.  The closet was full of stuff but we cleaned it out in about an hour.

We have completely cleaned out this closet.  I am getting bookshelves built into this closet from floor to ceiling.  HOPEFULLY this will house all the books!  The guy is supposed to come install them in about 2 weeks.  Then I will have them painted and then we will be ready to move everything in!  I have already purchased a new quilt and shams for the bed that is going to stay in there and a huge rug.  The colors I am doing are like browns, golds, and maybe a little blue.  I can't wait to get all the stuff in this room.  Once this is done then we can paint baby girls room!  There is lots to do but I am sort of in a holding pattern until I get the shelves.

The other issue is this.  Our bedroom right now is upstairs.  The nursery is downstairs.  We said when we moved in that we would move our bedroom to the downstairs master suite when we had a baby.  We just feel like it is too far from her.  I know that she will be in our room in the beginning but who knows?  So that is another thing that we have to do.  Switch the master suites.  I am not stressing at all about this because if we don't do it before she gets here that is ok.  It will be easy to do if we decide that is what we want.

So, as you can see, lots of work to be done!  I can't wait to be able to share pictures of the office when it is finished....and then Baby W's room!!!  I can't lie...it feels really good to clean stuff out and get organized.  I'm not sure if I am "nesting" yet, but all I can think about is what needs to be organized next...craft closet, kitchen drawers, nightstands, pantry, etc......

Hope everyone has had a great weekend...It is blazing hot here...100 every day :(

Kelly Belly-25 weeks

First of all, so sorry I have been a little AWOL from blogging this week.  I worked the holiday weekend and have just been busy overall!

Also, this post is 2 days late but I wanted to wait until my dr appt today.

How Far Along: 25 weeks!  That means 15 weeks at the very most until I get to meet my baby girl.  Yea!!

Size of Baby:  she is the size of a rutabaga..what the heck is that?!?

Maternity Clothes I should probably stop answering this question.  But I do have two words for you....maternity...panties!!!!

Weight Gain:  +15 total...I went to the doctor today and I gained 5 pounds this month.  I am totally ok with gaining weight and I will not complain about it because I know that it good for baby girl for me to gain weight.  HOWEVER, it is still hard to see numbers on the scale that you have never seen before.  I think one of the reasons it is hard to see those numbers is because I gained about 10 pounds during all of our fertility treatments.  Sooooo if you include that then you could say that I have gained 25 pounds so far.  WOW...is all I can say about that :)

Stretch Marks:  nothing new...feeling itchy though.

Belly Button:  still getting shallower every day.  It just looks so different!

Sleep:   sleep is ok this week.  I mean it isn't perfect but it is good enough.  I know that I am sleeping better than my husband!

Best Moment of the Week:  more and more comments from random people.  People at work, people at Walgreens, patients.....It is very interesting.  People see that you are pregnant and they tell you all about their kids or grandkids...they are so proud!  I am ok with this but I do not want to hear your horror stories about birth!  Please keep those to yourself!

Getting one more dr appt out of the way!

I purchased a quilt and euro shams for the bed that is going to be in my husband's office.  I promise a post on that soon.  Basically, baby girl's room is my husband's office now.  So, we are moving and decorating his office at the same time as decorating her room!  Lots to do but I am making progress.

We went to Babies.r.us to check out the strollers and car seats.  WOW that is overwhelming!  I think we decided on a Graco travel system but I am still researching.

*little side note....Megan at In This Wonderful Life did a post asking for help deciding on baby stuff.  There were some great comments and some great links so check it out if you want!

Movement she moves all the time!  The greatest feeling ever....

Symptoms:   still having BH contractions.  They come and go.  I will go a few days and only have a few and then I will go a few days where I have a lot.  I have noticed that I have more if I am uncomfortable or if I need to pee really bad.  When I have a few close together I try to lay down on my side and they go away.

My butt hurts!  It feels like my tailbone but when my husband rubs on it he says it is my sacro-iliac joints.  It usually hurts after I have been up or walking around a lot.  It really bothers me after I work all day.

What I Miss: nothing :)

Food Cravings/Aversions:  I feel like I am hungry all the time.  Carbs always sound great!  I still love any fruit and my lemonade.  I am getting back on orange juice.  I loved OJ during my first trimester and that seems to be coming back.

I really seem to want sweets after everything I eat.  I am trying to cut back on that.  Like only have dessert after dinner instead of after every meal!

Gendera precious little princess :)

What I'm Looking Forward to: registering!

Weekly Wisdom: just try to relax...I know I have said this before but I really need to listen to it!

Milestones:  every day is a milestone and I am so happy and thankful to be here.

Also, I feel like being visibly pregnant to strangers is a milestone also!

Here's my belly this week!
And here is a shot from the front!

Also, a post revealing the name for our little princess coming soon.  I am pretty sure we have decided but it is so hard to commit!  We call her this name and I know that is what it is going to be but we haven't started telling people about it yet.  Y'all will be the first to know!
