Big Brother and Nursery Sneak Peek

Do any of you watch the show Big Brother?  I just LOVE that show!  I have watched multiple seasons (not all though).  If you don't watch it, it would be pretty hard to catch up in the middle of the season.  But just a heads up...watch it next season because it is so entertaining.

Rachel and Brenden seriously get on my nerves but , I have to say, it was great to see the look on Dani and Kalia's face when he got to come back in the house.  They should have just stayed with their original plan to get Rachel out....BAD MOVE!

Then it was great to see everyone's reaction when Dani won HOH!  That girl is determined to win.

I really like Jeff and Jordan, I think everyone does.
I mean really....they are so cute!

Up until this past week, I really liked Shelly.  I thought she was playing a good game...talking to everyone and playing both sides.  But I think she has cracked now....she better win POV if she wants to stay because I think everyone is pretty down on her.

I hope some of y'all watch this or you have no clue what I am talking about!

A couple of years ago they had an all stars season.  That was the first season my husband watched with me.  It was a great one!  Dr. Will is the best player in BB history.  So now my husband doesn't want to watch it because he says it will never be as good as that season.  I still manage to talk him into it though ;)

If anyone out there watches the show I would love to hear what you think about it!

Ok, now on to the sneak peek of the nursery.  I got the furniture delivered last Friday and I LOVE IT!!!!  I will post pics of the whole nursery when the bedding gets here.

 Those are the closet doors...
This is up close so you can see the paint color better.  It is like an apple green...not too limey and not too pastel.  All the pictures for far away make it look like pastel green.

Happy Monday to all!

Little get-a-way...

This past weekend me and my honey went on a little getaway.  We just went to the city about an hour away and stayed in a super nice hotel for a couple of nights.  We had no plans...just resting and relaxing and enjoying each other's company.  I just needed a break from all of the planning, cleaning, organizing, etc.

We love to travel and do so frequently.  We wanted to go someplace farther away for this getaway but we just didn't get it planned in time.  Also, when I mentioned flying somewhere at 30 weeks to my OB he didn't seem too excited about that idea.  He didn't tell me not to...he just said that it makes him a teeny bit nervous.  So no flying for me.  I appreciate the fact that he is a little overly cautious with me...he knows how much this precious baby girl means to us and how hard we worked to get this far.  His main concern was that I start having BH contractions when I get uncomfortable so an airplane ride is just asking to have them....

Anyway, we got to the hotel on Thursday, after a trip to Babies.R.Us....which was super fun!  We picked out our glider and the fabric that we wanted for it.  The glider is awesome!  I wanted one that would be comfortable for my husband as well as me.  He is six four so the back of most chairs hits him at about his neck...not good!  We are getting one that is extra tall and super comfy.  It is pretty expensive but I feel like it is worth it.  From what I hear, we will be using it all the time.  We can also use it anywhere else in the house...not just the nursery.  And you want to know the best part?!?!?!  My fantastic, awesome, wonderful mother in law has offered to buy it for us!!!  She is the sweetest :)  I am going to check and see if I can find the same one at a couple of different furniture stores for cheaper...we will see how that goes.

After that trip we went to a bookstore.  My husband and I both love to read.  We each bought a few books and then headed to the hotel.  We walked downtown (not too much because it was 100 degrees) and found a pizza place for dinner.

The next day we went to a maternity store because I was in some desperate need of more clothes.  I didn't want to buy too much but I just needed some basics to help finish up this pregnancy.  Hopefully I won't need to buy anymore because maternity clothes are INSANELY expensive!

We had a great lunch and then took a nap...Shocking, right?

For dinner we went to a dim sum restaurant...it was ok...I've had better :)

Saturday we woke up and went to the Farmer's Market.  I love buying fresh fruit...it is always so much better than getting it from the store.  We took all of our fruit to my mother in law's house.  She lives in the next town from where we were.  I made a fruit salad and we spent a few hours hanging out in the pool.

We had a great time and it was great to get away from the house.  Even though we didn't do much it is nice to spend time together.  People keep telling us to go on as many dates as possible in the next few months so we are going to try and do that.  Although it is hard because at the end of the day I just want to lay on the couch or in the bed and read!

I had my 3D ultrasound yesterday and I will post about that soon.

Also, my friend A that I talked about in this post got her BFP on her 1st IVF.  She is thrilled but she now has pretty severe OHSS.  They had to drain fluid out of her abdomen and she has to keep the drain in place for 10 days.  She feels really crummy.  I can't imagine finally getting a positive and then going through all of that..can you imagine the worry?!?  She has an ultrasound coming up in a little bit so I am just hoping that little baby(ies) are growing like crazy in there!  If you think about it...send her some get well vibes!

Kelly Belly-30 weeks

How Far Along:  30 weeks!  I seriously can't even believe I am typing that....

Size of Baby:  she is the size of a head of cabbage and weighs almost 3 pounds.  Although on my ultrasound last week she was measuring a week ahead and already weighed 3 1/2 pounds.  This is definitely not exact but it does mean that she is getting big!!

Maternity Clothes yes :)  I bought a few new things this week.  A couple more shirts that can last me to the end and two pairs of really lightweight capris.  They can be rolled down into pants if it actually cools off here...which I doubt!  I feel like I wear the same things over and over....

Weight Gain: +22 pounds total

Sleep: Basically the same...I think I am just getting used to bad sleep being good.  As long as I get some rest I am ok.  Hip and back pain are the biggest problems with my sleep.

Best Moment of the Week: Hubby and I went on a little getaway Thursday-Saturday.  I'll do a post on that later this week.

Blakely's room is being painted as we speak!

We had a handyman come out and fix a bunch of stuff around the house...I am pretty sure this guy is my new best friend!

We finished our second childbirth class...this one was much better than the first.  We have three more left.  Next week we are going to talk about our options for pain relief and epidurals.

I finished up our registry!  YEAH!

Movement oh yes!  It is quite amazing how the movement has changed over the past couple of weeks.

Symptoms: all the same really.  I have started to have some nausea lately.  It usually happens after I eat or at night.

What I Miss:   not a thing :)

Food Cravings/Aversions: still love any kind of fruit.  We went to a large Farmer's Market this weekend and got tons of fruit and I made a fruit salad...IT WAS AWESOME!!!

Genderprecious little princess Blakely :)

What I'm Looking Forward to getting the carpets and furniture cleaned this week.

Getting all of our windows washed and deck power washed...can you tell I am nesting?!?!?

Hopefully, getting her furniture delivered this week...some issues with the delivery company...

I am having a 3D ultrasound tomorrow...I am excited to see Blakely and my friend Lynne that is going to do it!

Weekly Wisdom: I mean...just enjoy every second...I am really focusing on that.

Milestones:   30 weeks is a huge milestone!  10 weeks maximum left until we get to meet our daughter.

And here is the belly this week!
I am getting wider than my shower in the background!

Here is one that I put on Facebook...more on that later....being pregnant on FB.....

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Kelly Belly-29 weeks

How Far Along:  29 weeks!  I swear the weeks are FLYING by right now....

Size of Baby:  she is the size of a butternut squash...those things are huge!

Maternity Clothes yes...

Weight Gain:  +22 total...went to the dr yesterday and I gained 4 pounds in two weeks.  I have to admit I wasn't expecting that.  I am totally ok with gaining weight but it is still hard to see that number rise up each time...

Sleep: not awesome.  I sleep really hard when I am sleeping.  I jsut wake up a lot to pee and then have a hard time falling back to sleep.

Best Moment of the Week: the movers came on Saturday and moved all of the stuff out of my husbands office and into his new office.  All the books are in the shelves, they just need a little organizing.  I worked on that all weekend but then I had to work Monday and Tuesday.  This means that Blakely's room is totally cleaned out!  Now I just have to paint it and get the carpet cleaned.

The baby furniture was not delivered on Friday like it was supposed to be.  There was a mix up and the crib wasn't in yet.  They think that it will be in this week or next.

We had our first childbirth class on Monday night.  It was ok.  We go back for the next 4 Mondays and I am hoping that it gets a little better.  This time was kind of a get to know you thing.  She mostly talked about having people in the room and people coming in after the baby is born.  Stuff that I have already thought about but am still unsure of what I am going to do.  She had her opinions, which I totally respect, as she has been delivering babies for like 30 years.  But, I am just not sure yet what is right for my husband and I.  I am thinking just me and him the entire time, before, during, and after birth.  But we will see :)

Funny little tidbit about the teacher of our class.  She was talking about having different people in the room while you are pushing.  She said she thought it all worked better for everyone if it was only the people who were there for conception were there for delivery.  I busted out laughing (not on purpose).  She looked at me and my husband told her we had IVF.  She made a joke of it saying we could invite all of them if we wanted :)  Awkward....but funny....

Movement her movement has definitely slowed down this week.  All my books say this is normal, although it does freak me out a little bit.  She is still active at times but then really quiet at times.  Right about the time I start to worry about her...she starts dancing in there...maybe she can sense my impending freak out???

Not only has it slowed down but it has changed as well.  The movements are less like kicks and punches and more like rolls and turns.  I have been able to feel body parts this week too.  Sometimes I feel like she is trying to come out of my belly button!

Symptoms:   all still the same.  I don't think that I have talked about the leaky boobies for a while....they are still going strong, righty more so than lefty ;)

What I Miss: I just wish that it would cool off.  It is like 112 here today and I bake just walking to my car.

Food Cravings/Aversions:  I  just have a crazy appetite.  I don't really eat unhealthy food...I just want a lot of what I am eating.  I eat a lot of fruit.  I just ate an entire fresh pineapple...and I am still hungry :(

Gender: a precious little princess...Blakely!

What I'm Looking Forward to getting her furniture, my shower that is in a couple of weeks, getting her bedding in, and this weekend away with my husband.

Weekly Wisdom: This isn't really wisdom but I am so tired of hearing this...."You sure did pick a terrible time to be pregnant because of this heat"  First of all, I don't think there is ever a "terrible" time to be pregnant.  Second of all, not everyone gets to "pick" when this happens.  And third of all, I love being pregnant even when it is 112 outside!!!!

Milestones:   got all the dates set for my showers and finished up my registry!

Here is the belly pic for this week..and I did some comparisons below.

This kinda looks like a torpedo!  And where are my boobs?  Oh that's right...those C boobies are being shoved into an A strapless bra because I only bought size C regular bras....might need to get a new one because it hurt by the end of the night!

Our princess has a name!

We have known what her name was going to be for a while now but we haven't shared with anyone until this week.  When I was 20 weeks we had it narrowed down to 3 names.  After that we sort of stopped thinking about it.  So over the span of a month or so I just started thinking of her as one of the names instead of the other two.  When I pictured her room, this is the name that I would see on the wall.  When I talked to her I would call her this name.  So, it is kind of like she named herself.

So, do you want to know what it is???

Our sweet princess' name is......

Blakely Ann

This is the name that my husband has wanted the entire time.  I loved it but it wasn't the name that we had picked out since we first started trying to have a baby.  I just couldn't believe we weren't going with the name that we had liked forever.  So I sort of had commitment issues :)

So where did we get the name?

About a year ago my husband mentioned the name.  I don't remember how it came up but I had never heard it before at the time.  I have heard it a few times since then.  Her middle name is after me, my grandmother, my mom, and my mother-in-law.  Needless to say, she had a middle name long before she was even conceived.

We have been calling her B, Blake, Blakey, Blakey boo, and B boo.  Lots of nicknames!

We love her so much....

Happy Sunday!
